What in-home care includes
At Miracle Home Health of Wisconsin, our care falls into three areas, and many families use a combination of them:
- Personal Care Services — hands-on help with the activities of daily living: bathing and grooming, dressing, toileting and incontinence care, and safe transfers and mobility.
- Supportive Home Care Services — help around the home and the daily routine: meal preparation, light housekeeping, errands, medication reminders, and warm companionship.
- Comprehensive Community Services (CCS) — a Milwaukee County behavioral-health program supporting mental-health and substance-use recovery and everyday living skills.
How it's different from a nursing home
In-home care is non-medical and happens in your loved one's own home — not a facility. Care is scheduled around your client's needs, hours can grow or shrink as things change, and family members can stay closely involved. The goal is to make staying home possible for as long as possible.
